About the Opportunity
This role is an integral part of the Asia Supplier team, with the key focus being around maximizing SOR earn that contributes to FCTG profit or delivers a commercial outcome to the business. An understanding of TMC operations is key to delivering these outcomes.
This role will actively work with our top suppliers across multiple categories & disciplines, whereby your skills and knowledge will drive you to actively manage & get the best out of any negotiation you maybe part of.
As we move to support more technology than ever before, an understanding of supplier portals & how technology can help deliver an outcome is a must.
Delivery of a product strategy will see the evolution of strong long-term relationships with our key partners, internal and external, as well as helping and influencing each of the FCTG retail streams with their product strategy.
Key duties and responsibilities
Commercial understanding of Airline and Land supplier contracts as well as new contract negotiations to drive SOR, private fares and commission where needed
Develop, implement and continue to deliver a product strategy aligned to the Procurement business plan to ensure all sales revenue and income targets from our key contracts
Ensure our preferred product range is strongly supported, communicated, and promoted at every opportunity.
Engagement with consultants to understand product requirements and opportunities
Working with other members of the Asia Flight Centre Product team to ensure effective communication of the product to Flight Centre Travel Group staff.
You will have
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Strong understanding of TMC travel environment and/or background in travel industry
Demonstrated knowledge of identifying travel sales trends and experience in fare/rate optimization to drive margin
Knowledge of Amadeus GDS systems
Experience in supporting sales and marketing team to advocate for and promote products
Experience with new product development, product delivery, customer/product analysis.
