Job Description

Solution Design Consultant
The role of the SDC is to design solutions for multi-national customers (MNCs) by championing FCM’s Brand Value Proposition. By incorporating their unique insights, expertise and best practices in IT, innovation and trends, the SDC’s key aim is ultimately to guide customers towards the optimization of their business travel program.
Using consultative skills, the ultimate goal is to propose solutions customized for the exact need of the client during the sales process, drive the coordination of the Client Onboarding via a Statement of Requirements (SOR) and design Optimization opportunities for existing MNCs.
This will ensure measurable and realistic goals/expectations are set throughout the customer journey with FCM.
The role will also:
(1) Drive the FCM portfolio of value-added solutions and innovations to ensure company commercial success for multinational customers, via optimization and enhancement of existing programs
(2) Develop relationships with key customers and prospects, together with the commercial teams, to understand their business needs and convert them into strategic opportunities for FCM.
Responsibilities:
Design the global Statement of Requirements (SOR) for MNC accounts, ensuring scalability and customization can be achieved based on client requirements
Assist Sales teams in the RFP/Sales process by consultatively working with prospective customers to define key recommendations, deliverables and timelines for the onboarding process, as well as future opportunities for travel program optimization
Liaise internally with the support teams (Sales, IM, AM) to manage client expectations and make recommendations for alternative solutions where applicable
Work to prepare the optimization of existing clients by designing a ‘Day 2’ list of continuous, ongoing, incremental improvements or larger projects to drive valueadds and efficiencies
Be able to effectively communicate with Senior stakeholders internally and externally
Liaise internally and externally with key stakeholders to drive project deadlines
Lead any required conference calls, workshops & meetings during the solution design process  
Ensure all client-facing documentation is updated & sent to the client in a timely manner
Manage any other client expectations in a professional & timely manner  
Understanding and belief in a Business Plan
Understanding the FCM brand focus
Able to deliver exceptional customer service
Understanding of the various regions/markets within FCM, mainly regarding technology, local capabilities and any limitations in their set up
Communicating to the global SDC team the recommendations and capability of their home region
Communicating process internally & externally 
Requirements:
A strong knowledge of end-to-end business processes and the downstream effects associated with these, including GDS, QC, OBT and Reporting tools
Proven success in previous roles 
A strong understanding of the FCM MNC Onboarding process Preferred
A university degree in IT, Computer Science, Communication or a combination of other formal qualifications with special experience that may be regarded as equivalent Preferred
A certificate or qualification in Project Management, or a combination of other formal qualifications with special experience that may be regarded as equivalent (E.g. Lean and/or Six Sigma)
The successful candidate will be part of a truly global team covering all regions for FCM and a few speciality countries (India, China, Aus).
As their leader in the global team, I’m looking for a good communicator and someone who thinks outside the box and has a ‘growth’ mindset rather than a closed (computer says no) one.
A large portion of their role will be working with US/CA HQ’d MNCs who want to expand into the rest of the FCM world, so whilst they will be based in NORAM they will regularly work closely with all other regions of FCM.
The FCM Solution Design process has been created through a mixture of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile PM methodologies, so any experience or certifications in those disciplines would be a big benefit.
