About your opportunity…
Flight Centre Travel Group is looking for Senior Tester to join our Quality Assurance team, in our Corporate Technology Division. This role will see you analyse proposed solutions, solve complex problems, contribute to the overall growth and maturity of the QA practice, and provide test leadership to assure the quality of the solutions being built.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Analysts and Software Engineers, as well as other members of the wider team, and key business stakeholders. As a senior tester, you will also play an important role in the execution of our test automation strategy.
 
What you will do…
Operationalise testing strategies to deliver the desired test outcomes for the team and document them
Participate in inception and estimation sessions to develop cost and effort estimates on the proposed solution and testing effort
Expand our existing test automation framework and test coverage
Collaborate with a Product Manager and with the wider product and development team to understand how new features should be built and tested and to contribute to automated tests for these new features
Collaborate with engineers and be a part of our test automation strategy in both management and execution
Report to the QA Lead for Corporate Technology
Coordination and mentoring to junior or new QAs in the team
Identifying and automating manual tests that can be automated
 
Who you are…
Minimum of 7-8 years proven test engineering or technical testing experience across different technologies and platforms
Experience in Agile Development environments
Experience in API/integration, CI/CD pipeline and DevOps test automation
Exposure to Cloud environments (Azure DevOps)
Possess high risk analysis and management capabilities
Creation of test cases using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non- functional specifications
Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including an ability to prepare high level reports
Capacity to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities to achieve high quality outcomes
Highly Desired – Foundation level certification in testing e.g., ISTQB certified
