Senior Accountant
Global Supply (GS) is the Land/Air division of Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), which comprises brands such as Global Touring (Topdeck and Backroads), DMC Ground Operations and Hotels, as well as internal procurement, Airlines, and distribution businesses – The Travel Junctions.
We have a Global Shared Services area for Transactional Finance functions – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Finance Booking Support, Process Improvement team, with teams of 40+ people based in Australia (Brisbane and Sydney) and USA (New Jersey), supported by offshoring team based in India and China.
The Finance Assistant Team Leader (AP/AR) is a senior accountant position. 
Primarily responsible for smooth payments and receipting capabilities as well as management of account transactions in both the booking engine and back-office accounting system.  This involves leading the team and helping the team leader.  This involves but is not limited to on time response to supplier/customer queries, master data creation/amendment/termination, profit (margin) and other associated queries. The position will also focus on process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
The Finance Assistant Team Leader (AP/AR) is a good problem solver, thrives on challenge and consistently delivers a high level of customer service, contributing to FCTG’s overall profitability.
Responsibilities:
Effectively lead their team in conjunction with the Team Leader
Support and foster a positive, well balanced team environment and culture
Effective One on Ones, planners and WBMs
Training needs of team members identified & implemented
Collaborate with other ATLs to support development of people across the Global Supply business
Reconciliations (Airline / Credit Cards / General Ledgers)
Customer Commission Payments
Project Management
Clear communication with other support teams, and respective business (including retail agents and wider GS team)
Supplier Disputes/Discrepancies
Managing customer funds
Clear, complete & timely delivery of information
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Senior Accountant
Leadership experience a strong asset
Intermediately proficient with MS Excel
Support and Lead team members to achieve common business goals
Focus on customer needs
Committed to providing outstanding service to internal business and external suppliers
Communicate openly and professionally
Listen actively
Utilise multiple communication avenues effectively
Practices information sharing
Working with internal business and external suppliers in a professional and friendly manner
