Join our team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with our Payments Team, this role sits within the Consultant Commerce area. You will be tasked with the testing of software created by the Payments Team, and the completion of a number of testing deliverables.
In this exciting opportunity will collaborate with Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers and other Testers within the Consultant Commerce area to deliver quality software that will empower our Consultants to be the best Travel Experts in the world. We work autonomously from anywhere and work collaboratively online or in the office to achieve our team goals.
We are a diverse team so being an excellent communicator is essential and it will be your responsibility to ensure that both the Payments Team and the Test Leader are aware of the progress and status of your work, as requested.

The role in a nutshell:
 
You’ll be a productive member of a cross-functional agile software engineering team, responsible for the execution of software testing for the Payments Team
Creation of Test Plans, Test Cases and Acceptance Criteria for both project and maintenance work
Execution of software testing for both project and maintenance work
Managing defects from observation and reporting, through to re-testing and/or resolution of the issue
Tracking & reporting on the progress of testing to the Test Leader and other interested leaders and/or team members
Prioritising and managing your personal workload whilst working to deadlines with often changing priorities in a busy environment
Participation in all relevant Agile ceremonies (daily, weekly meetings) with colleagues from a range of disciplines within software engineering
Understanding and mastering the application of software testing practices
Working with both internal teams and on occasion, vendor teams, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software
 
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
A solid understanding of the Travel Industry and a deep appreciation of front-line Travel Consulting, with considered empathy for our Customers
The desire to gain proficiency in the application of Software Testing Practices and to learn the various applications currently used across the area such as JIRA & Confluence, and other testing tools utilised by the team
An analytical mind-set and pride in your organisational abilities
A sound knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel for the creation of Test Plans and Reporting
Composure and diplomacy in times of stress or when releases or projects do not proceed according to plan, and a balanced and flexible disposition to ensure the best outcome possible for all parties concerned
Conviction in your ability to perform the role outlined
A professional attitude in the presentation of both yourself and your work to others, regardless of their position within the organisation
