National Operations Lead – Live Events

Job Purpose:
To support to the Events Leader in effectively leading and managing the live events area with a focus on the workflow and resource management, operational excellence, and development and performance of the team whilst striving to meet or exceed business targets. This role can be based in NSW, VIC or QLD.
This role will work closely with the Head of Events to grow and develop the Live Events team while working towards margin growth where possible to ensure company and team targets are met/exceeded.  
This role will contribute to the decision-making process for strategic business development and growth.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational success of the Live Events team through collaboration with project teams to ensure effective management of workflow and team resources.
Accountabilities:
Workflow and resource management
Manage the team’s personnel requirements ensuring each project is resourced in line with the management fees and/or account segment.
Ensure strategic allocation of project teams to provide both consistency for customers and growth opportunities for team members.
Operational excellence
Ensure standard project systems and procedures are followed whilst implementing customer / project specific systems, processes, and platforms to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
Mentoring & training team members in FCM Meeting & Events policy, systems, processes, and platforms. Represent the Independent business and articulate plans and goals to suppliers
Leadership
Inspiring, leading and mentoring the live events team.  
Collaborate with the Events Leader to recruit, train, develop and mentor the creative services and Live Events team.  
Account management
Ability to develop and manage existing customer relationships for consistent and repeat business opportunities.  
To assist the Events Leader in growing margin where possible to ensure company and team targets are met/exceeded.  

Project management
Oversee and support of event management across all project teams as required.

Qualification:
Degree qualified – Desirable 
Demonstrated experience in project management within the event management and production industry – Essential (at least 8 years)
Experience in leading an operational team – Essential
