We are looking for a talented Global Technology Internal Communications Manager to take the lead on the development, delivery and execution of the communications strategy internally for Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) technology story and initiatives for our duo of segment-leading brands, Corporate Traveller and FCM.
As part of a fast-growing, ambitious PR & Communications team, you will play an instrumental part in devising a ‘next generation’ approach to how we communicate our tech brand news internally – improving existing methods while identifying and developing fresh and new ways of delivery.
This is not your typical internal communications role and not for those looking for a traditional, HR-related brief. You will be an ace communicator that possesses top-notch writing and creative content skills and the ability to bring our corporate technology initiatives to life for a global internal audience by infusing on-brand messaging and creativity through an innovative, multi-channel approach.

Accountabilities
Develop and execute an internal communications strategy for FCTG’s Corporate technology (in conjunction with VP Global PR & Communications and Chief Experience Officer, FCTG Corporate Brands).
Report directly to VP Global PR & Communications (functional), but works closely with multiple key stakeholders in the technology space globally.
Acts as the internal communications resource for corporate technology colleagues to amplify their initiatives and projects internally to all stakeholders across local regional and global markets.
Lead the development and posting of content, telling our technology news and stories for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet (Workplace), monthly newsletters, emails and video.
Encourage two-way communications by establishing channels, forums and responsive feedback to drive engagement on technology initiatives.
Devise compelling and creative internal campaigns and assets to support key technology strategies to build employee engagement, commitment and enthusiasm for FCTG.
Provide creative input and support to senior executives and brand teams on communications aspects around key internal announcements and events (virtual & in-person) relating to technology developments and initiatives.
Ensure technology communication strategy includes global partners (non-equity markets) working with regional partner management team in conjunction with Global Internal Brand Communications Manager.
Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative including briefing designers and other external suppliers.
Deliver presentations at internal events such as management meetings.
Draft messages or scripts from senior executives to support technology-related presentations and updates to employees in written or spoken form.
Where relevant, ensure internal technology communications messages reflect overarching communications strategies set down by VP Global PR & Communications, are consistent across all mediums and applicable to different departments.
Ensure internal technology communications is always consistent with and aligned with corresponding external communications activities around tech developments.
Under the direction of VP Global PR & Communications, handle the internal communication response to issues around technology products which affect organizational perception and reputation.
Work closely with Global Internal Brand Communications Manager and other FCTG internal communication staff to support initiatives and align activities.
Build upon existing internal communications & engagement metrics to measure impact and success of strategies and activities.
Desired Skills & Capabilities
Writing skills: You need excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to determine appropriate and appealing internal messaging for a variety of internal channels.
Verbal skills: You also need strong speaking/communication and the ability to translate our goals and values and relay them to employees.
Interpersonal skills: You need excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with all department across multi-national multi brand organization. You also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them.
Marketing & creative skills: You should demonstrate ability to execute marketing projects: Devising engaging strategies and assets to amplify tech product developments, initiatives and and projects, ideally for internal audiences. A tech-savvy, self-starter who is strongly creative with first-rate digital and video skills is essential.
Global/industry knowledge: Minimum 8 years progressive marketing, content and/or PR & communications experience, preferably working within a global, multiple-brand environment is desirable. While experience of writing for tech products and working for a technology brand is not essential, it would be beneficial.
