About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a to join Flight Centre’s national HR team.  This role has a strong employment relations focus and will appeal to a highly motivated and driven person, looking for a career development opportunity within this exciting part of our global business.
Reporting directly to the HR Operations Leader, the primary focus of this role is to deliver expert HR and employee relations advice key business stakeholders, including our people and leaders across all Flight Centre Travel Group brands and businesses.
The role will also have a focus on coaching and developing business leaders in the area of HR, and you will also work with our People+Culture team on initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Your knowledge and expertise mean you are comfortable providing HR/ER advice to your businesses on policies, procedures and compliance requirements (such as employment contracts, Modern Award interpretation, and other relevant legislative instruments), as well as managing employee grievances and undertaking investigations or conflict resolution processes within the business.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate practical experience in managing investigations within a fast-paced, high volume environment.
Role requirements: 
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HR/ER role within a large organisation
Exposure to Injury Management Process
Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build relationships and the confidence to manage these effectively
Strong commercial focus to resolving ER matters
Strong influencing skills and in-depth business understanding
Knowledge of national and state-based employment legislation, including (but not limited to) Fair Work Act and Bullying legislation, Modern Awards, Discrimination and Privacy legislation, and OH&S legislation
Experience in injury management, workplace rehabilitation, allied health, return to work process will be well regarded
Demonstrated experience in successfully coaching leaders through complex performance management
Capability to co-ordinate and conduct formal investigations is essential
Ability to identify, develop and run appropriate training forums on key HR topics
Excellent time management skills & an ability to work to deadlines
