About the Opportunity – HR Advisor
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Human Resources Advisor to join Flight Centre’s national HR team. This role has a strong Employees Relations (ER) focus and will appeal to a highly motivated and driven individual looking for a career development opportunity within this exciting part of our global business.
Reporting directly to the HR Operations Leader, the primary attention of this role is to provide proactive HR expertise to our people and leaders across Flight Centre Travel Group’s multiple brands and businesses. The role has an emphasis on coaching, developing and empowering business leaders on a variety of people-related matters. You will also work with the wider People+Culture team on key initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Your knowledge and expertise mean you thrive on providing HR advice and guidance to your businesses on policies, procedures and compliance requirements (such as employment contracts, Modern Award and EBA interpretation, and other relevant legislative instruments). With a real passion for ER, you will effectively manage employee grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution processes within the business. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate practical experience in managing all HR functions within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Role requirements:
1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar HR/ER role
Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build confident and effective relationships
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Sound commercial focus to resolving ER matters
Knowledge of national and state-based employment legislation, including (but not limited to) Fair Work Act and Bullying legislation, Modern Awards, Discrimination and Privacy legislation, and OH&S legislation
Demonstrated experience in successfully coaching leaders through complex performance management
Capability to co-ordinate and conduct formal investigations
Ability to identify, develop and run appropriate development forums on key HR topics
Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
Exposure to injury management, workplace rehabilitation, allied health, return to work process will be well regarded
