Job Description
FCM Technical Business Analyst
The FCM Business Analyst, (BA), will be responsible for owning the overall design, coordination, and delivery of small to mid-level technical projects as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on business needs. This role will require strategic design, mapping, and translation of an end user problem statement into technical business requirements with accurate acceptance criteria for assignment to development teams.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Solutions Architect and/or other BAs on assigned technical projects
Provide analytical and technical support to other departments as needed
Identify and communicate with key stakeholders
Gather and analyze data as part of project discovery process
Translate problem statements into clear and concise User Stories and/or Business Requirements
Accurately define acceptance criteria for requirements
Convert technical and complex functionality into “plain English” documentation
Liaise between various business departments and groups
Documentation of projects using Analyst Team templates
Uncover internal system/application development dependencies
Business and systems gap analysis
Assess operational impact of new features, products, or workflows
Building and articulating technical workflows
Test plan creation and execution
Test business processes and recommend improvements
Miscellaneous work as assigned to solve business problems
Collaborate as needed on projects that cross Brands
Skills/Experience Preferred
5 + years Corporate Travel experience
Above average understanding of GDS functions including creating bookings, shopping, faring, reading PNR and queue history
Can manage deliverables, working both independently and with a team
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Superior presentation and negotiation skills
Accepts and champions change
Ability to pivot and change priorities as the business needs
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects at the same time
Have good interpersonal and consultative skills
Excellent attention to detail providing a high level of accuracy
Proficient in MS suite, including Excel and Visio
