Job Description

As Event Manager for FCM M&E UK/IE, your role will be to inspire your clients and drive them to achieve their business goals. You will be supporting the M&E Manager and collaborating with team members to meet or exceed business targets.
Accountabilities:
Event Management – Be fully accountable for the programmes under your direction and to work with the Team and the client to ensure that the event brief and budget are fully understood, logistically sound and to provide solutions when necessary.
Implement customer/event specific systems and processes to ensure accurate and efficient event management.
Negotiates with Suppliers – Builds strong relationship with suppliers. Negotiates on behalf of the M&E customer (for the best offering and best price for the client.)
Leadership – Utilise leadership skills to help develop Event Planners and Coordinators.
Competencies:
Visionary – Creates a vision and obtains buy in from the team. Uses vision and business plan as a guide to achievement of individual and team goals. Show team members how aspirations can be realised by using FCM Meetings & Events as a vehicle.
Motivator – Desire to be successful and achieve. Set their own financial goals & can see ways of achieving them. Sets goals/deadlines on a daily basis and works to exceed them. Strong need to achieve and holds an optimistic view. Is persistent and self-driven.
Event Management Skills – A high degree of Event Management experience, including managing offshore destinations/foreign currency budgets/large numbers of pax/complex events/high profile clients/multiple events at the same time. Above average usage of systems. Sound knowledge of how to manage group travel. Know how to use Microsoft Office.
Account Management & Accounting.
Coach and Mentor – To coach team members on the behaviours, skills and knowledge required to be successful Team Member.
Experience & Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years demonstrated event, conference, and incentive management experience – Essential
Experience in training and mentoring team members. Desirable
MICE product experience in key regions. Essential
Knowledge of all major suppliers and relevant MICE products/destinations. Essential
Knowledge of event management operational processes, standards and procedures. Essential
Degree qualified, preferred in Event Management. Desirable
Event Management Course or relevant industry experience. Essential
