Enterprise Architect, Americas
 
Overview:
As the Enterprise Architect for the Americas, you’ll be the person who organizes the solution design of a system-of-systems solution. You’ll be responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and transforms that vision through execution into the solution.  This role will report to the SVP Corporate Technology, Americas.  The Americas Application Development team will report into the Enterprise Architect. 
You will be a master of various hardware platforms including infrastructure solutions, distributed platforms, data platforms, application platforms, integration platforms, desktop and server operating systems.   Working very closely with domain architecture and business stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of solutions, linking the needs between the organization, developers, and technical engineers.

Responsibilities: 
Communicate and consult with vendors, developers, internal technology colleagues and internal stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions
Evaluate solution options, recommend preferred solutions, and work with engineers for best outcome
Evaluate vendors along with the business analyst teams to understand best options
Design architectural solutions that meet our complex business needs and are aligned to strategy, architectural and product roadmaps
Produce and maintain the solution’s architecture and design documents, including solution workflows
Provide support and hands on effort during the implementation of the solution
Review and recommend changes to existing solutions as required
Make architectural decisions and set the standards and best practices for the software engineering discipline
Software designs of major software components, systems, and features including analysis, research, design, and documentation that fulfil business requirements
Manage and oversee the success of the Application Development Team, Americas,
Manage the maintenance and creation of internal applications, continually striving for better performance and improvements
Work directly with internal and external teams supporting the D365 Finance platform as well as any other internal and external platforms utilized, again striving for performance improvement
 
Requirements: 
7+ years’ experience as a solution and software architect or similar experience
Extensive background in end-to-end solution architecture
Basic to intermediate SQL skills
Experience with Azure, DevOps, JIRA or similar tools
System understanding, and framework for how systems intercommunicate
D365 for F&O understanding will be a preference, to understand batch framework
Travel industry experience is not essential, but would be beneficial
Experience in service delivery management within a large global enterprise
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
Experience with D365FO Travel module is very highly regarded
Strong knowledge in software engineering with experience working with cross-functional teams in designing and delivering end-to-end solution architecture
Involvement in system integration solution design and delivery
Strong collaboration and communication skills in a multi-disciplined team environment
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
Ability to liaise with all levels of the organization
A motivated professional and proactive self-starter who makes things happen
The ability to think strategically, make an impact, leverage expertise, change and improve solutions and processes
Ability when required to work flexible working hours dependent platform deliverables
