Overview…
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the purpose of the Digital Marketing Manager position is to oversee the digital marketing team and work closely with the creative, media, partnerships, product and IT Teams to define and execute the digital strategy across all business units. Your main responsibility will be to develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing initiatives across all channels.
You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. You will be a critical member of the marketing team and play a coaching and mentoring role for the Digital Marketing Coordinators and Assistants.
 
Our Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for…
Develop and execute the digital marketing plan in line with overall marketing plans, strategic business plans and company objectives
Plan and execute SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
Take a leading role in the improvement of the website and articulation of product and services
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
Identify trends and insights and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
Collaborate with internal teams to execute wider campaigns, create landing pages and optimise user experience. This will include identifying what assets are needed, including managing, briefing, maintaining, and optimising campaign video performance across channels
Support business budget decisions and be responsible for digital budgets across channels and brands to maximise enquiry and booking volume at lowest possible CPE
Maintain current Ignite Travel proprietary software and eDM software to maximise CRM outcomes via automation. Support any future CRM software rollout
Manage the reviews process and responsible for social community feedback management
Maintain and grow customer databases
Manage, mentor and train digital team members as well as recruit new hires as required
Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
Provide digital marketing support to all business units within the company to deliver product and marketing initiatives, including providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption of emerging technologies where appropriate
Work closely with Sales to understand enquiry to booking conversion and undertake surveys or ad hoc initiatives for further insights
Provide support to the executive team as required
 
Essential skills…
Minimum 6 years hands-on senior level digital experience in planning, executing and reporting across all major digital channels
Demonstratable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, email, social and display advertising campaigns
Exceptional analytics skills and experience with relevant analytics tools
Solid understanding of WordPress website management
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office
A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or communications will be highly regarded
Experience in HTML, web development and web migration projects will be highly regarded
Be a digital guru by being an active participant in digital movements and trends with an active interest in the latest technololgies, product developments and applications
