About the Opportunity
A key figure within the leadership of Grasshopper Adventures, you are responsible for the design, development and building of product. When we say product, what we mean is a tour, an experience, an opportunity for travellers to create a lifelong memory and to participate in an authentic, engaging activity in a safe and accessible way.
our main responsibilities are:
To collect and collate ideas and suggestions from customers, guides, leaders and sales staff to distil future tour development concepts or improvements to existing tours.
Prioritise development opportunities through a commercial lens, with a focus on always maximizing market appeal and meeting demand before creating it.
Assess concepts against competitors’ products to maximize market fit, but also to identify opportunities for differentiation.
Evaluate product concepts and broad outline for Product Guidelines fit.
Conduct the costing and pricing process in coordination with the Finance Team and put forward an indicative retail price based on projected, average group sizes.
Draft final summary/itinerary copy, routes and pricing, then seek approval.
Prepare comprehensive materials and notes for our Sales, Reservations and Operations teams so that they can sell, utilise or operate products to the best of their ability.
About you
The Essentials:
You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role – previous experience in the travel industry would be desirable.
A tertiary degree in a commercial/business field would be favourable.
A demonstrated track record of product/service design and deployment with a corresponding demonstration of commercial success of that product/service.

Ability to routinely shift from macro to micro/granular activity, whilst maintaining strategic and commercial focus.
Detail orientated, independent individual who coordinates and works well within a team.
Ability to remain flexible and calm under pressure.
Superior time management and work prioritisation skills.
Results and solutions orientated, with a growth and execution mind-set.
Familiarity with RWGPS, Asana, MS Office and Tourplan is advantageous.
