About the Opportunity
In this vital role you will lead the regional Asia Product design teams to deliver a market leading product range for Discova’s key customer segments: GIT, FIT/Tailormade, In-destination, Groups and Educational Travel.  This will entail managing and coordinating the design, development and enhancement of new and existing products and itineraries, with emphasis on brand differentiation and rich, immersive experiences that delight travellers from all walks of life.  
 
Your main responsibilities are:  
Responsible for developing and executing a well thought out product development and design strategy that aligns with business objectives for growth and drives competitive advantage through product differentiation and delivery
Implement a structured product-to-market process that results in product consistency across destinations and a highly profitable range of products and services
Proactively drive product innovation in line with customer demand, market trends and Discova’s reputation for sustainable and ethical immersive experiences 
Conduct market research and benchmarking to evaluate product development feasibility
 
About you
The Essentials:
At least 5 years’ experience in travel industry product design with 3 years in a leadership role
Comprehensive travel industry knowledge and destination experience
Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business strategy
Track record in leading multiple teams
Experience in developing best practice processes across regional locations
 
The Attributes:
Demonstrated supplier negotiation skills and experience
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills across a variety of cultures
Excellent communicator to a diverse range of people (customers, suppliers, team members, leaders)
Strong team motivator and empathetic leader
Creative problem solver who is results-oriented
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Ability to travel and to work flexible hours as required
Able to adapt to uncertainties and changes and remain calm under pressure
Personally aligned with Discova’s company purpose and values
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Discova’s systems would be an advantage
