Job Description

The Flight Centre Global Corporate Finance team is looking for a commercial thinker to join the team as an Analyst. The role involves supporting Flight Centre’s Mergers and Acquisition strategy globally, commercial analysis to support operational leaders and involvement in capital management and forecasting across the group. Ideal experience is Big 4 with corporate finance/transaction service experience a bonus, strong excel skills a must.
Working in a small team of 5 at Global Head Office conveniently situated in South Bank the team focuses on:
Supporting Flight Centre’s (FCTG) M&A strategy through target identification, coordinating the deal team, financial due diligence and post-acquisition monitoring
Complete strategic market and comparable company bench-marking research, analysis and planning
Focus on creating a transparent view of the current and future liquidity position of FCTG and individual businesses and countries
You will work closely with the Global CFO, Australian finance community, regional and nation CFOs (AU/NZ, EMEA, Americas, and Asia) and Global Expert Teams including treasury, global financial reporting, tax and legal.
Responsibilities:
Financial & commercial support for strategic decisions
Analysis of potential targets in line with FCTG’s M&A strategy
Commercial support involving market research, financial analysis of new initiatives or review of existing businesses to provide insights into key business drivers and identify opportunities to improve
Detailed analysis of historical & forecast financial information supporting capital requests including assessment of assumptions of expected results

Degree essential – CA/CPA in progress/completed
