Job Description

This role is ideal for someone who has worked in either accounts payable, accounts receivable or invoicing and has a desire to further their career in Finance. It is an exciting but high pressure role where the individual will learn and develop many essential skill across all transactional finance disciplines including banking and credit card processes.
Transactional Finance works with a third party to deliver a function that is both scalable for future growth and leverage external expertise and resource to fulfil requirements.  UK based Transactional Finance team have full ownership and responsibility for transactional processes, controls, and balance sheet standards.  The UK based Account Receivable team also provides first line support to front end business in addition to some transactional processing and reporting
 
The role will include following:
First line support for consultants, handling and resolving queries
First line support and query resolution for offshore teams in relation to receivables
Maintain reporting of unmatched customer receipts
Assist in reconciling and allocating customer receipts
Assist in preparing and processing direct debit collections
Maintain reporting and updates of BACS direct debit amendments
Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of credit card sales and receipts
Manage credit card rejections and provide support to resolve queries
Recharge rejected credit card transactions
Monthly reconciliation and aging of credit card debtors
Provide accurate and timely advise for banking queries
Performing daily bank reconciliation for multiple accounts
Maintain cash balance reporting across the company
 
Criteria of successful candidate:
 To be successful in the role the candidate will have the following key competences and experiences:
Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with an ability to communicate with finance and non-finance individuals
A strong attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accuracy
Work experience in transactional finance areas, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Invoicing
A logical approach to problem solving
Appreciation of accounting fundamentals and importance of strong financial controls
Ability to work to deadlines and deliver on commitments
Strong customer service approach
A genuine team player, appreciating the importance of team goals
Proven ability to multitask
Good time management; being flexible and adaptable
A keen desire to learn new things
A proven focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of processes
Proficient using Excel
