Hiring for an Accountant to join our Flight Centre Travel Group Sydney Team..

This hands-on Sydney based role is ideal for a passionate and driven Accountant who is excited at the thought of a new challenge and excited to grow with a fun and dynamic team.
This role requires someone who has a strong attention to detail, initiative to resolve issues and create efficiencies, strong time management skills and flexibility to an ever-changing environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assisting with audit workpaper compilation and queries
Completing EOM processes including calculation of employee incentives
Tracking and making payments to both internal & external stakeholders
Troubleshoot and resolve finance queries from all levels of internal stakeholders
Ensuring accuracy and completeness of reconciliations and supporting documentation
Preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheets, including balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing reconciliations, including but not limited to, bank accounts, credit cards, creditors, and accounts receivables
Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes
Required skills and experience:
CA/CPA qualifications or studying towards
MYOB & Xero experience highly desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to demonstrate technical accounting knowledge
At least 2 years’ experience in a Finance, Accounting, Commerce role or similar
Completed Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
