What the role will involve:
In this role, you will report to your Team Leader and Future Team Leader. This role looks after the financial health of our business, while also providing support to travel consultants in our Leisure brands (Flight Centre Brand, Travel Associates and Travel Partners). You will need to be proactive in finding solutions, have strong customer and teamwork skills, time management skills and ability to adapt in an ever changing environment.
This is an entry level role, great for someone looking to start their career in Accounting in a large ASX listed company.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Wage incentive calculation
Processing of internal charges
Balance sheet reconciliations and clean up
Support and training for offshore providers
Assist with half year and year end statutory audits
Reconciliations, such as bank, third party and others
Timely and accurate preparation of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet
Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes
Respond to finance related queries from front end operations within SLA
Assist with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives
Training and development for operational staff on finance related topics and expectations
Protect our business by monitoring and reviewing at risk items such as, outstanding cash, audit ledgers, debit ledgers and unreconciled transactions
Education and qualifications: 
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
Completing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar or studying towards
Strong analytical skills with initiative to resolve issues and communicate opportunities as they are identified
High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and exceeding deadlines within a fast paced environment
