Eurowings Holidays, the vacation brand of Germany’s largest leisure airline Eurowings, is cooperating with DERTOUR Deutschland to create new offers in the fast-growing segment of dynamically packaged holidays. As part of the cooperation, the partners are putting together packages for last-minute travelers to popular cities and vacation destinations such as Spain, Italy, and Greece. DERTOUR Deutschland complements the wide range of flights offered by Eurowings with suitable hotel offers. Thanks to the intelligent, IT-supported linking of flight and hotel capacities, Eurowings, with the support of DERTOUR Deutschland, can offer customers not only very attractively priced package tours, but also millions of possible combinations – for a wide variety of travel options.
Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings: “We have a very attractive product portfolio with our network of Eurowings flights and the expertise to expand these flights into attractively priced package tours. Low down payment, free rebooking, and low-cost cancellation up to 14 days before departure – only Eurowings Holidays currently offers this combination of benefits. Together with our partner DERTOUR Deutschland, we can now reach holidaymakers who choose the personal advice from a travel agency when booking their vacation even better. DERTOUR with its more than 400 offices is the ideal partner here.”
“As one of the leading European tour operators, we can draw on an extremely extensive hotel portfolio for different target groups. By combining our diverse range of hotels with Eurowings flights, Eurowings Holidays creates attractive travel packages aimed specifically at price-conscious travelers and short-break travelers. We are thus further expanding our partner landscape in the tourism sector,” explains Dr. Ingo Burmester, CEO Central Europe DERTOUR Group. Sales have already started in the first selected travel agencies of the DERTOUR Group’s sales organization. “And we are also looking forward to further cooperation in our travel agencies,” says Burmester.
The company HLX Touristik headed by Karlheinz Kögel is responsible for packaging the trips. The entrepreneur from Baden-Baden is considered a pioneer of “dynamic packaging” – a strong growth area in tourism that enables to fulfill the often very individual travel wishes. The company holidays.ch is responsible for production.
