Euroairlines signs an interline agreement with GOL
GOL is one of the major companies in Latin America
With this partnership, the Brazilian company will have access to aggregators, consolidators and travel agencies in the network of more than 50 BSPs in which the Spanish company is present.
For Euroairlines CEO, Antonio López-Lázaro, the agreement consolidates Euroairlines’ authority in the provision of services in Latin America as well as the significant growth of the Spanish company in the region. “GOL is one of the largest carriers in Brazil, also flying to the Americas and Caribbean, making it an ideal partner for Euroairlines‘ distribution service in these regions”, he says. “Euroairlines will provide GOL with local and regional capillarity to consolidate its global growth”, adds Euroairlines’ Head of Commercial, Amanda Machado.
GOL currently has 47 interline and 17 codeshare agreements with several global airline partners around the world. “This agreement we have reached with Euroairlines will expand GOL’s network and enhance our brand’s global reach, enabling new passengers worldwide to experience our flight services in Brazil, The Americas and Caribbean. As a company deeply proud of its roots and dedicated to making air travel more accessible, this marks an important step toward providing greater access to travelers visiting Brazil and exploring the Americas and Caribbean”, underlines André Gaspar, Head of Alliances and Distribution of GOL Linhas Aéreas.
Brazil’s GOL Linhas Aéreas has launched an interline partnership with Spanish airline Euroairlines, which will allow the former to market its routes in different countries through the latter. With this partnership, GOL will have access to an extensive network of travel agencies, OTAs, aggregators and consolidators in more than 60 countries provided through Euroairlines’ IATA Q4-291 license plate.
The Brazilian company currently operates an average of 610 flights per day, and it’s one of the major companies in Latin America, carrying more than 8 million passengers last quarter (3Q24). GOL currently operates at 65 airports in Brazil and another 13 outside the country, covering South and Central Americas plus Caribbean and Florida, in the USA. In addition, GOL was the first airline to introduce the low-cost model in Brazil democratizing air transportation in the region.
GOL was born in 2001 in Brazil and is a pioneer in innovative approaches such as the launch of the first fully mobile check-in service, a mobile geolocation system for customers and a website with accessibility resources for people with visual and motor disabilities.
