England Rugby Travel, the RFU’s own travel company, has been exclusively appointed as Great Britain’s travel agent for Rugby World Cup 2019™, Japan to operate official travel and ticket packages.
England Rugby Travel has operated official travel programmes in the UK since it was established in 2005. Following a tender process, the company was awarded the rights to market, promote and sell a range of official packages in the UK for the tournament which runs from September to November 2019.
England Rugby Travel chairman, and chief commercial officer at the RFU, Simon Massie Taylor said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have been appointed as the exclusive Official Travel Agent in Great Britain for the forthcoming Rugby World Cup 2019. Having operated at previous tournaments in 2007, 2011 and 2015. We know that Japan will be a very popular destination with our supporters who will not only have access to official ticketed travel packages offered by England Rugby Travel, but also the experience, credibility and peace of mind of travelling with England Rugby.”
Eddie Jones, England head coach, said:
“Rugby World Cup 2019 will be a brilliant experience for rugby supporters who travel to Japan. Our aim is to win Rugby World Cup 2019 and the support for the team will be an important factor. We hope to see as many England fans as possible getting behind us in Japan as we try to achieve our ultimate goal, while also enjoying the atmosphere in what will be a fantastic tournament.”
A range of official travel packages, including international flights, accommodation, match tickets and events will be available in early spring 2018 and offer England supporters the opportunity to follow England in the pool and knock out stages of the Tournament.
