Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre has unveiled a landmark revamp to provide guests with a ‘next generation’ hotel experience.
The hotel, managed by the hospitality company RBH, is benefitting from a GBP 5.5 million transformation, with the hotel’s existing 161 bedrooms already refurbished to keep up with today’s smart travellers. Furthermore, the Edinburgh property has also received extensive remodelling to its lobby and public areas, with over GBP 350,000 spent upgrading its facilities to Holiday Inn Express’ new Generation 4 standards.
The refurbishment programme includes an extension featuring a further 25 brand new bedrooms, set to be added to the property by mid-July this year – taking the total rooms available to 186.
Stephen Harron, divisional director for RBH, said: “The transformation of Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre really gives us an edge when it comes to providing excellent city centre accommodation, and is proving to be a very exciting time for the hotel.”
The substantial investment will see the new rooms feature large beds with padded, noise reducing headboards, as well as flexible work and rest corners where traditional desks are replaced with comfortable, ergonomically designed multi-use tables and chairs that can be easily moved around the room.
“Completely revamped”
Harron added: “The bedrooms and public areas have been completely revamped, along with the installation of air conditioning and high-speed IHG connect complimentary WIFI throughout the building, ensuring we can offer the best in guest experience, whether staying in Edinburgh for business or leisure.”
