EaseMyTrip unveils scheme for Kerala-bound travellers
In a bid to boost the growing tourism industry in the state. EaseMyTrip has introduced customised travel benefits for Kerala-bound air travels. The company is offering a discount of flat INR 500 (USD 7.19) on domestic flights and INR 2,000 (28.74) on international flights which are specific for Kerala.
“Kerala has been successful in promoting its destinations, heritage, health and wellness sectors across the world, especially in western and West Asian markets. Now there is special effort to increase the travel from China,” said Nishant Pitti, co-founder and CEO, EaseMyTrip.
Bouncing back to normalcy from the last year’s devastating floods, the state continues to generate great interest for travellers from abroad, Pitti said. “Our effort is to substantially contribute to the 2019 tally catalysing the inflow of tourists and business travellers.”
EaseMyTrip, which has a strong network of 42,000 registered agent partners and more than eight million direct customers, has also launched a franchise network programme in the state. The company has around 2.53 per cent of its users from Kerala and is planning to increase this number to at least 15 per cent by the end of this year. The travel company is also seeking to strengthen its position with non-air products like hotels, bus and train booking. It has expanded its footprint into the UK market with its subsidiary company EaseMyTrip UK.
