Dusit International has signed an agreement to manage a pair of new properties on China’s south coast, in Guangdong province.
The Thai hotel group’s Chinese subsidiary, Dusit Fudu, will operate a luxury Dusit Devarana hotel and an upscale dusitD2 serviced residence in the Shuangyue Bay resort area of Huizhou, east of Shenzhen. Both new-build properties are scheduled to open in 2020.
Dusit Devarana Resort Huizhou Shuangyue Bay (pictured top) will feature 84 rooms and 64 villas, plus Chinese and international restaurants, a lobby lounge, gym, outdoor pool, kids’ club, spa and meeting space, including a 900m² ballroom. It will be located five minutes’ walk from the beach.
Situated in a 29-storey tower overlooking the South China Sea, dusitD2 Serviced Residence Huizhou Shuangyue Bay will offer 550 apartments, a restaurant and lobby lounge. Positioned for the millennial market, this property will feature “creative, vibrant décor and high-tech applications”, according to Dusit.
“These new projects in Huizhou really demonstrate the growing significance of our brands within the country,” said Lim Boon Kwee, chief operating officer of Dusit International. “We look forward to making the projects a huge success when they open in 2020.”
Home to beaches and hiking trails, Shuangyue Bay is located approximately 90 minutes’ drive from Huizhou’s Pingtan Airport and three hours’ drive from Guangzhou.
