dnata partners with beOnd to support growth of premium air travel from the UAE
Exclusively business class airline appoints dnata to stimulate demand for new Maldives and Switzerland routes, and plans for expansion
dnata is partnering with beOnd, the world’s first premium leisure airline, to boost connectivity between Dubai and a growing portfolio of in-demand leisure travel destinations. dnata will support the newly launched airline to promote its unique offering and deliver world-class services to UAE travellers. beOnd currently operates two routes connecting Al Maktoum – Dubai World Central (DWC) with Male (MLE) in the Maldives and Zurich (ZRH) in Switzerland.
beOnd, with its primary hub based at Velana International Airport in the Maldives, is one of the only airlines in the world to offer an all-business class service, catering to growing demand for premium travel, at increasingly affordable prices. Optional extras offered by the airline include chauffeur transfers, and airport lounge access, for enhanced passenger comfort. The carrier aims to serve 60 global destinations in the next five years, expanding its footprint further across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
dnata Representation Services has been appointed as general sales agent (GSA) for the airline in the UAE, with its team now providing a full range of travel services for beOnd customers flying to and from Dubai. Local infrastructure has been established for enhanced sales, marketing, and distribution support, to cater to current demand and future routes.
Simon Woodford, Vice President Global Air Services at dnata Travel Group, commented: “Across dnata Travel Group brands, we continue to see increased demand for business and first-class travel from the UAE. We are delighted to partner with beOnd as the airline’s premium offering enhances connectivity from Dubai to popular leisure travel destinations. Luxurious getaways to the paradise islands of the Maldives, at a convenient four-hour flight time, remain in demand year-round, whilst seasonally Zurich offers an escape to nature or a gateway to world-class skiing.”
Dhaz Hunjan, CCO of beOnd, added: “We look forward to establishing the unique, private-jet style experience that beOnd offers travellers from Dubai, working with dnata. With a long track record of local excellence, its team understands our vision to deliver a luxury experience unlike any other between the UAE and Maldives, and destinations further afield. We have been very pleased with the reception to our new routes so far, established in response to market feedback, and our customers can now benefit from additional services dnata provides.”
Travellers from the UAE with beOnd can experience its business class only cabin with all-lie-flat configuration, gourmet dining, and luxurious amenities. beOnd is now operating four flights per week from Dubai (DWC) to the Maldives (MLE), and two flights per week between Dubai (DWC) and Zurich (ZRH), with return fares starting from AED 7,429 per ticket to Male and AED 8,100 per ticket to Zurich.
