Discova has expanded operations in the Caribbean with a new office in Havana, Cuba. With presence established in Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic already, the Republic of Cuba is Discova’s 4th country in the Americas, and 15th globally.
Regional Manager for the Americas Simon Lindsay said: “I lived and worked in Cuba for three years, so I already knew a lot about the destination, how special it is, and that it’s unique to what you can find elsewhere on this side of the world. Our offerings will be very different to those of the current operators, as they only have access to what is available on the publicly owned market. We will be able to supply both public and private-owned products, simultaneously providing unique villas and properties that aren’t available to the mass market, as well as private touring and transportation options.”
The expansion to a new destination is the first of 2022 for Discova, with two more in planning around the world by end of 2025.
Director of Sales Andrew Turner commented on the expansion: “We’re super excited to be launching Cuba as our new destination in the Americas. Discova has big ambitions to grow significantly over the next few years and this is an exciting destination to kick-off our post-pandemic expansion. We have listened to our partners and know Cuba’s reputation and demand will help them grow. We’re confident we have the experience to transfer our global values and standards to create experience-rich holidays in this unique destination.”
