DidaTravel announces record sales from the UK outbound market
The top 5 destinations booked through Dida’s platform by British travellers included Dubai, New York, Phuket, Paris and Tokyo.
DidaTravel – a tech-driven global travel distribution company, today announces record 2024 sales from the UK outbound market, more than doubling the volume of business versus the same period 2023.
A leader in China and Asia Pacific source markets and destinations, Dida embarked on its global expansion strategy in 2018, with a particular focus on European markets and the results since then have been nothing short of exceptional with sales for 2024 significantly outperforming the same period 2023, where the company averaged 100% growth across the main markets. This growth highlights Europe’s increasing significance in the companies’ business which now represents close to a quarter of its total revenue.
The UK outbound market in particular has been a key strategic focus for the global travel tech business, where the team has worked hard to ensure that Dida’s global hotel portfolio, featuring more than 75,000 directly contracted properties (many of which offer highly differentiated or unique conditions) are available on the majority of the travel tech platforms popular in the UK.
After a very strong start to 2025, the company has a clear strategy to maintain the current growth trajectory in the UK market with a target to increase sales by 100% again this year. The top 5 destinations booked through Dida’s platform in 2024 by British travelers were Dubai, New York, Phuket, Paris and Tokyo.
Commenting on Dida’s continued success, Paul Riches, UK Sales Director for DidaTravel said: “We’ve invested significantly more resources in technology, product and customer care to support the UK trade, particularly over the last 18 months, and we are now reaping the benefits”.
“Our highly competitive hotel portfolio, featuring over 1 million properties globally with more than 75,000 direct contracts, are now available on the main travel tech platforms, as well as via our leading API, so most UK agents can fully benefit from Dida’s reach, which was not necessarily the case even 12 months ago. This is contributing significantly to our strong results in the UK market.” added Riches.
