The number of countries that demand proof of COVID-19 vaccination before entry continues to decrease. Rather than declaring victory and calling off the global pandemic, governments are learning to live with the COVID-19 virus.
Travelling freely throughout Europe is possible, while a health declaration may be necessary for some countries, like Italy. Hong Kong is one of the few Asian cities with stringent entry requirements. However, countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia have more liberal policies for international visitors.
While many countries still require visitors to have proof of vaccination against COVID-19, not even New Zealand, which kept its borders closed for much longer than others, does so now.
International travellers still fall prey to the coronavirus, despite the relaxation of vaccine requirements; as a result, careful travellers will stick to their vaccination schedules and take other preventative measures to avoid getting sick.
USA
Before boarding a flight to the United States, non-US citizens must produce proof of full vaccination with a recognised COVID-19 vaccine. Single-dose, two-dose, or two-doses of different vaccines are considered full vaccination if administered at least 17 days apart. Vaccinations must be completed at least two weeks before departure, and any vaccine delivered in Australia is acceptable.
Indonesia
Fully vaccinated travellers are permitted to visit Indonesia if the second or third dose or booster was administered at least 14 days before to departure. Visitors must download the Peduli Lindungi contact tracing app, which also saves the user’s digital COVID-19 vaccination and test certificates. Approval from Indonesia’s Ministry of Health can take up to five working days after submitting the relevant papers. On arrival in Indonesia, all visitors must pass a health screening. Anyone who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms will be subjected to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test.
India
All entrants must complete an online Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form to validate their vaccination status. They must also possess a document demonstrating the completion of full COVID-19 vaccination.
Hong Kong.
Australian travellers must provide proof of full vaccination, a health and quarantine declaration, and evidence of a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) done within 24 hours of departure. They must undergo a PCR test upon arrival but are not forced to wait for the results before leaving the airport and travelling to their accommodation. When the PCR test confirms a negative result, individuals are placed under medical supervision and are not permitted to access venues such as restaurants and bars for the following three nights.
Fiji
All inbound travellers must present proof of full Covid-19 vaccination. They must also obtain travel insurance that covers COVID-19-related medical expenses in Fiji, and evidence of coverage may be requested. Alternatively, travellers may choose FijiCare [fijivisitorsinsurance] .com] Travel insurance for COVID-19.
Singapore
Travellers aged 13 and up must present proof of completion of a recognised COVID-19 vaccination programme at least two weeks before arrival. All vaccines administered in Australia are recognised, as long as at least two doses are administered.
Dubai
All visitors must provide a valid vaccination certificate proving COVID-19 vaccination with a licenced vaccine, and all vaccines delivered in Australia fall under this category. Alternatively, they can show documentation of a negative COVID-19 PCR test done within 48 hours of flying to Dubai.
Philippines
Visitors aged 12 and up who are fully vaccinated may enter the Philippines. Travellers must register with the Bureau of Quarantine’s OneHealthPass online registration website [onehealthpass.com.ph] three days before leaving for the Philippines and save their transaction number. Update the OneHealthPass on the day of departure, including the transaction number, and save or print the QR code in the response.
Japan
Travellers must present a vaccine certificate showing they are triple vaccinated.
