Compass Hospitality, the Bangkok-based hotel group, will unveil its new luxury brand next month.
The opening of the Ananda Hua Hin Resort & Spa on 1 April 2017 will mark the launch of the high-end Ananda concept, which joins Compass, Citrus, Citin in Compass Hospitality’s stable of brands.
“We are very proud to enter the luxury segment in Thailand and we firmly believe Ananda will set new standards in high-end hospitality in every destination we operate,” said Compass Hospitality’s executive vice president of operations, Jonathan Lim.
“The brand is informal but sophisticated, ensuring we are not trapped by unwieldy brand rules and regulations so we can focus on providing an exceptional and personalised guest experience.”
The inaugural Ananda property will be located on a five-hectare beachfront site, about 15 minutes from Hua Hin, the popular resort town on the Gulf of Thailand, 2.5 hours’ drive south of Bangkok.
The resort will offer 196 rooms, including 23 pool villas and a family area featuring its own pool and kids’ club. Facilities will include four F&B outlets, an Ananda-branded spa and extensive meeting space, including Hua Hin’s largest ballroom. The resort will be led by veteran hotelier Nigel Tovey.
“Ananda Hua Hin is a property of its time, and perfectly fitting with this fast evolving destination as we look to redefine an area that was actually one of the first spots well-to-do families came to 30 years ago,” said Tovey, the resort’s GM. “It is the… ideal location for us to offer a whole new level of hospitality to our guests.”
As well as becoming the company’s first Ananda-branded property, Ananda Hua Hin Resort & Spa marks Compass Hospitality’s 42nd managed property around the world. The company is present in Thailand, Malaysia and the UK.
