Colletts Travel kicks off the new year with the re-opening of North London store
Colletts Travel, part of Global Travel Collection UK (GTC UK), has announced the reopening of its Hendon store at the end of January, marking a significant return to the high street and a commitment to fostering a vibrant local travel community.
The Hendon store has undergone a post-pandemic refurbishment, ensuring a modern and inviting space for both advisors and walk-in clients. Colletts Travel acknowledges the continued demand for face-to-face service in the travel industry. With dedicated travel planning lounges, the store is designed to offer a premium and personalised experience, catering to clients who value in-person interactions when planning their journeys.
Recognising the importance of knowledge-sharing, Colletts Travel has identified the need for a space where advisors can collaborate, share experiences, build on their expertise, and feel a wider sense of community. The Hendon store will serve as a hub for advisors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development supported by its in-house Advisor Success team, and be the perfect starting point for advisors who are newer to the industry. The company also houses luxury tour operator, Colletts Collection, which services clients across the GTC UK, and parent company, Internova Travel Group, and the reopening will mean greater in-person interactions between the team and Colletts Travel’s advisors.
Colletts Travel Advisors were given a private preview of the revamped office on 19th December, which provided them with the opportunity to gather before the holidays. During the preview evening, advisors connected with one another, GTC UK leadership and colleagues, and the Colletts Collection team. Co-founder turned Brand Ambassador, Roy Collett was in attendance at the event along with representation from previous Co-founder Michael Berlin’s MB Luxury Travel.
“Colletts Travel has experienced an increased interest from advisors who wish to work from the Hendon store, as they did pre-pandemic,” said Francesca Mendola Vice President of GTC UK. “This growing demand to reopen the store has been encouraging and reinforces the importance of both face-to-face booking interaction with luxury clients and our suppliers to increase educational partner learning, out of our North London location. Our company philosophy is “Go Human. Book Human”, and we feel it is essential for to invest in a space that advocates face-to-face bookings.”
