China Eastern announces direct Shanghai-Venice route
The new itinerary takes off 26 September
Shanghai’s China Eastern Airlines announced a new direct route to Venice from 26 September.
The thrice-weekly schedule flies out to Venice’s Marco Polo International Airport from Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight time is estimated at 13 hours.
This new direct route serves as a more convenient route for those travelling between the two cities. Those flying in from Venice, on the other hand, now have a way to experience Shanghai, as well as a more convenient transit point to other destinations in China and Asia.
China Eastern’s Shanghai-Venice route is seen as a great way for Chinese and Italian travellers to make the most out of China’s current visa waiver for Italy, and the latter’s visa-free policy which remains in effect until 31 December 2025.
