Charitable Travel to launch unique donation model
Social enterprise and travel agent Charitable Travel will launch in April this year as a leisure-focused retailer offering direct customers an array of holidays, hotels, flights and ancillary products while trading with purely social objectives and raising money for charity at the same time.
The travel agency offers a unique donation model for customers when they book and, simultaneously, a powerful no-cost fundraising method for registered charities. Customers booking with the company will be able to book their choice of holiday and travel and donate through a simple process direct to the charity of their choice – at no extra cost.
Their donation will effectively be free. Melissa Tilling, CEO of Charitable Travel announced the launch of a new channel on YouTube and across social media called OneAmazingMinute to provide a platform to celebrate great charitable causes and the incredible world of travel. She said: “As part of our unique process of bringing charity, the travel industry and tourism together, we will be launching and promoting a dedicated video-based free marketing opportunity across our social media.”
