Cebu Pacific releases traffic stats for January 2025
Seat load factor hit 86.5 percent last month
Cebu Pacific released its latest traffic report, noting 2.6 million passengers carried in January 2025.
This shows a 33.4 percent increase compared to January 2024.
At the same time, seat load factor (SLF) rose to 86.5 percent from 85.1 percent, while seat capacity grew by 31.2 percent.
Airline president and CEO Xander Lao said: “January traffic saw strong passenger demand, fueled by holiday travel and the airline’s network and capacity expansion over the past year. Our network now covers 124 routes, up from 104 in the same period last year. Load factors remained healthy, with international travel demand notably outpacing capacity growth. Throughout this year, we are committed to optimizing our capacity to meet the rising consumer demand along with the need to manage ongoing engine and supply chain issues.”
Domestic traffic in January
Domestic passenger traffic grew 34.6 percent versus January 2024 on 37 percent more seats, with SLF of 87 percent.
Traffic growth was driven by strong demand around the New Year holiday period, supported by additional frequencies and new routes launched throughout 2024.
The airline’s domestic network grew to 84 routes from 68 in the prior year, with 2,912 weekly flights, up 29 percent from 2,260 weekly flights same period prior year.
International traffic in January
On the other hand, international passenger traffic by grew 29.9 percent year over year on 17 percent higher seats, which allowed an 8.4 percentage point increase in SLF to 85.1 percent .
Cebu Pacific’s international network grew to 40 routes from 36 in the prior year, with 648 weekly flights, up 16% from 561 weekly flights same period prior year.
