Carnival Cruise Line’s Christine Duffy named among Forbes’ 50 Over 50
This year’s list showcases women who have proven that success is possible at any age
Forbes recently announced the inclusion of Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy to the fourth edition of its annual 50 Over 50 list.
Duffy’s trailblazing initiatives in the travel industry for 40 years, counting numerous firsts among her accomplishments, were what cinched her inclusion.
She took on the post of Carnival’s presidency back in 2015, making her the first female at the helm of Carnival Corporation’s flagship brand.
Today, she oversees Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet of 27 ships that homeport in North America, Europe, and Australia, as well as P&O Cruises Australia’s three ships currently operating in the South Pacific.
All told, the fleet sails with six million guests annually and employs over 52,000 people hailing from 120 nations.
Duffy said of the distinction: “I’m honoured to be recognised for this prestigious recognition and be among the company of such incredible women. Over the course of my career, I’ve been inspired by many great leaders I have had the privilege of working with, and now I try every day to offer that same level of mentorship and lead by example. That’s pretty easy to do with our tremendous shipboard and shoreside teams who motivate and inspire me.”
