In May 2018, Santorini will welcome a new hotel that will stand as the “pinnacle of luxury” in the quaint fishing town of Ammoudi: Canaves Oia Epitome.
A visit to Greece can be frequently found in travel aficionados’ bucket lists. Its architecture, cuisine, beaches and resorts are some of the most coveted in the world – and Canaves Oia Epitome is aiming to live up to the country’s longstanding reputation for hospitality.
Opening this summer, the new luxury hotel will be the fifth property in Canaves Oia Luxury Resorts portfolio. The hotel will feature 24 villas each with plunge pool or private pool, an infinity main pool, a breakfast and sunset restaurant, terraces and more.
To show you what the Epitome is all about, they’ve produced two teaser videos, with quite dramatic flair:
The property is inspired by traditional Cycladic architecture which can be found all over its thousands of islands in southeastern Europe. The design combines natural and earthy materials with modern design in stunning Greek fashion.
Epitome is within walking distance of Oia’s Katharos beach, and about half a mile from the main village. Each of its villas is equipped with VIP amenities, and the hotel is the only property on the island to offer sea views from the privacy of each room.
Epitome’s top-tier facilities and services include a fitness area, boutique, personalised butler service, champagne breakfasts and daily yoga sessions.
Lavish honeymoon suites are also available for newlyweds and couples. For families with small children, two-bedroom family villas offer an infinity pool with private cabanas, perfect for a young family vacation in the sun.
Greek dishes at the breakfast and sunset restaurant are served by renowned chef Tasos Stefatos. His expertise is in creating Mediterranean masterpieces such as plates of beef carpaccio, grilled grouper, and fresh lobster – suited for chilled white wines.
Epitome is a walking distance from Katharos Beach and 30 minutes’ drive from Santorini airport. Direct flights run from the UK with a travel time of approximately 3.5 – 4 hours.
