C-3PO, the golden protocol droid from the Star Wars moves, has been painted on one of ANA’s Boeing 777 aircraft as part of the Japanese airline’s movie partnership with Lucasfilm.
The aircraft will enter service on the domestic route between Tokyo Haneda and Kagoshima on 21 March 2017, before being introduced to a series of other Japanese routes.
As well as the external livery, the B777 will also feature C-3PO-themed interiors, including headrest covers, cups and cabin crew uniforms.
The C-3PO jet becomes the third Star Wars aircraft in the ANA fleet, following previous versions themed on R2-D2 and BB-8.
