With the so many changes to the corporate hospitality industry coming in the last ten or fifteen years — such as the arrival of Airbnb and other home share platforms able to offer a literal home away from home — many companies have decided to spread their wings and build their presence in the leisure markets.
As exciting as these market shifts have been; opening up new revenue streams and welcoming a greater range of guests has been as been fuelled more by necessity for alternative income than tourists demanding access to business apartments.
“Barcelona is an international melting pot, attracting people from around the globe”
However, one company sticking to their guns is Homelike who, after only three years since they were first established, has now announced they are opening their third office in Barcelona.
The new office is a reflection of the company’s significant success in Europe, which has seen Homelike place more than 15,000 business travellers in cities, such as London, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna and Zurich.
Dustin Figge, CEO and founder of Homelike, said:
“Barcelona is an international melting pot, attracting people from around the globe who are in need of high-quality business apartments. Existing and new corporate clients have been requesting apartments in Spain already for quite some time and we are now thrilled to launch in the Spanish market.
Homelike provides a best-in-class booking experience that allows corporates and executives to offer their employees the comfort and privacy of their own home on business trips from professional suppliers looking to rent units for a month or more. Homelike’s tech-enabled booking experience ensures a quick and frictionless process for both suppliers and corporate clients and makes renting furnished apartments as easy as booking hotel rooms”
