Great Rail Journeys is joining the UK travel industry today in celebrating the official re-start of UK travel with the launch of its fantastic offering of UK rail tours now operating full steam ahead. Eager travellers will once again have the opportunity to explore the many wonders we have right here on our doorstop by rail.
With a host of amazing tours on offer, exploring popular UK staycation destinations such as stunning Scotland, picturesque Yorkshire and beautiful Wales, Great Rail Journeys has also added a number of new departure dates to its best-loved tours, to help even more guests enjoy a long-awaited holiday.
The safety of its customers is the number one priority for Great Rail Journeys, as they enjoy exploring the UK by rail. The team has continued to work closely with its hotel and travel partners, and with suppliers to ensure the necessary government and public health guidance is implemented. As a result of the additional measures Great Rail Journeys has implemented, the travel provider has attained Visit Britain’s ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation, so travellers can be sure their holidays adhere to all Covid related industry standards.
To further give guests that added reassurance, Great Rail Journeys has launched an industry-leading, small groups offer as standard, with all 2021 UK and European escorted tours having no more than 25 people in the group and has also updated its travel insurance to give additional Covid cover at no extra cost, giving guests that added peace of mind as they share happy times with friends and family once again.
What’s more, those who book by 31 May, can make the most of the escorted tour provider’s flexible booking offer, giving guests the opportunity to transfer their holiday for free should their plans need to change.
Peter Liney, CEO of Great Rail Journeys, said: “At Great Rail Journeys, our joy is taking people on holiday and after a year of so much uncertainty across the travel industry, we’re delighted to be able to welcome our customers back on tour and would like to wish them all a brilliant, long-awaited holiday here in the UK.
“We’re lucky to have such a fantastic team, including our expert Tour Managers making sure each holiday is special. Alongside recent ‘Good to Go’ accreditation from Visit Britain and the introduction of our industry-leading small group tours, our team will always ensure customers feel confident they are in a safe pair of hands when travelling with us.
“In the coming weeks, we look forward to receiving more detail from the Government regarding plans for international travel and hope that customers will be able to enjoy their long-awaited holidays in Europe and across the world once again, as restrictions continue to ease.”
