Travel safety specialist beTravelwise has expanded its guidance for women professionals with a new animation that offers important tips for staying safe while travelling abroad. 

Laws and attitudes towards women travelling alone in certain countries around the world can pose serious risks for the uninitiated.

The new animation details some of the potential scenarios they may face in these countries and offers practical advice for dealing with them safely and effectively.

It also offers effective insight into social customs when dealing with business contacts in socially conservative countries, and tips for staying safe in hotels, restaurants and other public spaces.

beTravelwise women traveller advisor Sophie Harwood lead the development of the new animation. Sophie has vast experience as a security risk analyst, having worked for a Fortune 100 investment bank and as a training manager for a travel security consultancy.

“Female professionals may face additional safety risks when travelling abroad for work,” she said. “Our aim is to mitigate these risks by providing practical advice and guidance for staying safe when dealing with a range of potential scenarios.”
