DiscoverCars.com have created a ranking to find out the best cities in Europe for a winter honeymoon. They did this by analysing factors such as the number of spas and romantic hotels in each city before scoring each city accordingly.
The top five destinations for a winter honeymoon were:

Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona placed first in the ranking, scoring 135 out of 160 points. The Spanish city is a summertime hotspot for tourists but is perfect for a winter honeymoon too. The average temperature in Barcelona during the winter months is 15 degrees Celsius.
Newlyweds can choose from 609 spas and 599 romantic activities including sightseeing at the Cathedral of Barcelona. There are also 12 Michelin Star restaurants within the city.

Paris, France
Paris, the ‘City of Love’ ranked second scoring 128 out of 160 points. The romantic French city of Paris is a great honeymoon destination all year round with 970 spas available and 560 romantic hotels to choose from.
The cost of a lounge ticket at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport is £52 and honeymooners can enjoy an average of 9.2 daylight hours throughout the winter months.

Rome, Italy
In third place, the Italian capital city of Rome scored 123 out of 160 points. The historic city has plenty to offer, with 867 romantic activities to get up to with your partner including walks, sightseeing and exploring the various museums dotted around Rome.
There are also 14 restaurants with a Michelin Star, 389 spas and 488 romantic hotels for honeymooners to indulge in.

London, England
Ranking fourth is London, the biggest city in England scored 122 out of 160 points. London is a city packed with energy but also romantic activities for newlyweds, with 1066 available and 896 spas.
Partners should wrap up, however, with an average temperature of 8 degrees Celsius throughout winter. The average monthly rainfall between December and February is 60mm.

Vienna, Austria
Rounding off the top five, the Austrian city of Vienna scored 115 out of 160 points. Vienna’s picturesque architecture is bound to put you in a romantic mood, with baroque palaces and churches scattered around the city.
Vienna offers an impressive number of romantic hotels with 1575, the city is also home to 84 spas. The average temperature in Vienna throughout winter is 5 degrees Celsius.
