Barceló Hotel Group set to launch third property in the UAE

Spanish hospitality holding company, Barceló Hotel Group, has announced a new milestone in its regional expansion plans — the launch of Occidental IMPZ Dubai Conference and Events Centre, its third property in the UAE.
Set to open in September 2018, Occidental IMPZ Dubai, Conference and Events Centre marks another step in the group’s goal of expanding its brand presence in the Middle East, with further plans of increasing its footprint in the next five years.
The new hotel will cater to business travellers, providing the MICE market with an array of meeting and conference rooms for exhibitors. Additionally, it will be within easy reach of the EXPO 2020 landmark and 30 minutes away from Dubai airport.

Occidental IMPZ Dubai, Conference and Events Centre will offer 239 guest rooms with a contemporary interior. The property will comprise of two connected buildings adjacent to one another, with each housing more than a hundred rooms as well as conference areas. There will also be a ballroom which will cater to bigger themed events.
Catering to business travellers, the guest rooms and the five meeting rooms will be equipped with technology featuring automation system, smart TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi.
In addition, the hotel will feature a range of distinctive cuisine experiences including an all-day dining, a coffee shop, tapas sports bar, pool bar, rooftop lounge, and a multifunctional dining area.
According to Jaime Buxó, chief development officer at Barceló Hotel Group, the new property is only one of eight new ventures in the group’s pipeline for the Emirates. With the growth of its portfolio in mind, Barceló Hotel Group currently operates two hotels in the region, Barceló Residences Dubai Marina and Occidental Sharjah Grand and plans to open Barceló Al Jadaf in Dubai in June 2018.
