Bangkok’s 24th World Gourmet Festival slated for September
The event showcases the skills of sixteen globally-acclaimed chefs who collectively hold 30 Michelin Stars
Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel hosts the 24th installment of Bangkok’s World Gourmet Festival from 4 to 10 September.
The much-anticipated fine dining event showcases the skills of sixteen globally-acclaimed chefs who collectively hold 30 Michelin Stars.
Aside from these gastronomic experts, the event also features a complement of bartenders representing the World’s 50 Best Bars, as well as stellar establishments throughout Asia.
The power of 30 Michelin Stars
This year’s lineup features some of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs from different parts of the world, each with their own fields of culinary expertise.
These luminaries include Thomas Bühner of La Vie by Thomas Bühner in Taipei; Eric Räty from Arbor in Hong Kong; Matteo Ferrantino of Germany’s Blanc; Kazuyuki Tanaka of Racine in France; Sang Hoon Degeimbre of L’air du Temps in Belgium; traditional French chef Louis Philippe; Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa of Lisbon’s Alma; Taiwanese chef Jimmy Lim of JL Studio; Rishi Naleendra of Cloudstreet in Singapore; Stefan Stiller of Shanghai’s Taian Table; Viki Geunes of Zilte in Antwerp; Mark Donald of The Glentower Restaurant in Scotland; Valhrona-South Pacific’s Guillaume Lopvet; and Malaysian chocolatier Wee Loon Tan.
Representing a diverse array of cuisines from Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia and beyond, each guest chef will host an exclusive dining event at Anantara Siam’s signature restaurants.
Dining for a cause
A portion of every dinner ticket sold and proceeds from the auctions held during the World Gourmet Festival will be donated to the Foundation for the Welfare of Rajavithi-Girls’ Home Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali
The Foundation provides quality education, medical care and life skills training for disadvantaged young girls across Thailand.
