“Where we’re going we don’t need roads.” Back to the Future fans take note; a company in the Netherlands has opened sales for its new flying cars.
The new Liberty Pioneer and Liberty Sport models by PAL-V are being billed as the “first commercial flying car[s] in the world”. Deliveries are expected to start before the end of next year.
“After years of hard work, beating the technical and qualification challenges, our team succeeded in creating an innovative flying car that complies with existing safety standards determined by regulatory bodies around the world,” said Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V.
“Now that the new design is public I expect to see great interest from customers that have waited for the flying car era to start.”
The cars have been created by Italian designers and use dual engine propulsion, to deliver a “sports car feel on the road”. The design also claims to help “avoid a number of common pilot errors, making the PAL-V Liberty very safe and easy to operate”.
