The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) and British Airways have today announced an increase in direct flights from the UK to the popular Indian Ocean destination.
British Airways flights from London Gatwick will now include two additional departures per week, bringing the total to five, with departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The added flights have been confirmed for the entire winter season with five departures per week available from 29th October 2017 to 21st March 2018.
Kevin Ramkaloan, Director, MTPA commented: “The addition of two direct flights from the UK to Mauritius is a testament to the destination’s incredible appeal to holidaymakers looking for beautiful beaches and luxury resorts but also its broader charm in terms of gastronomy, history and family fun and adventure.
More and more we are seeing British travellers looking to combine the opportunity to unwind and enjoy the benefits of an all-inclusive package, with the chance to get under the skin of the culture and landscape of the destination that they are visiting. It’s great to see British Airways responding to this demand by offering additional flights to Mauritius – a destination that marries these experiences perfectly.”
