Azerbaijan Tourism Board participates at MILT Congress in Jaipur 2024
From July 25th to 26th, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participated as a Bronze Partner in the 11th edition of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) India & Luxury Travel Congress (MILT Congress 2024) in Jaipur, India. This prestigious event presents a significant opportunity to further showcase Azerbaijan’s tourism sector as a prime destination for business events and luxury travel.
The two-day congress features participation from India’s leading corporate representatives, MICE professionals, event agencies, and wedding planners. With over 30 pre-arranged B2B meetings, the Congress is expected to foster new business partnerships and collaborations, thereby serving as a platform to highlight Azerbaijan’s unique offerings in the business events sector.
The participation in ‘MILT Congress 2024’ aligns with Azerbaijan Tourism Board’s ongoing efforts to elevate the country’s visibility and attractiveness in the Indian market. The Congress will provide an opportunity for ATB’s representative to engage directly with India’s top corporate and travel industry professionals and open doors to new collaborations.
Azerbaijan has witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of Indian tourists, with 118,985 arrivals for the first six months of 2024. Compared to the same period last year, the number of Indian tourists visiting Azerbaijan is 2.5 times greater. This surge in interest is driven by Azerbaijan’s diverse cultural and historical heritage, which includes influences from the ancient Silk Road. Visitors can experience a range of attractions, from the ancient Ateshgah Fire Temple with its Sanskrit inscriptions, to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Walled City of Baku and Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape. The nation’s capital, Baku, has become a favoured destination for Indian weddings and corporate events, with its offering of a unique blend of ancient landmarks and modern amenities.
