With the opening of its new multi-purpose MICE complex, Bangkok, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel has placed itself in the upper band of events locations in the Thai capital.
Launching the MICE dedicated space is a common sense move for a company which derives 35% of its business from a highly competitive international MICE market, worth USD 30 billion per year. Positioning itself as a preeminent events option in Bangkok, one of the most popular MICE destinations in the world, is equally shrewd.
Grand
Located on the tenth floor, the space comes with 4,500 sqm of prime MICE real estate, comprised of function and pre-function rooms, breakout areas and, what Avani describes as “the grandest – and highest – ballroom on Chao Phraya River in Bangkok”.
Featuring an eye-catching 11-metre high ceiling, the ballroom room can comfortably 720 guests’ banquet-style, 1,200 guests for staged performance, or 972 guests for theatre-style functions. For added accessibility — and a striking entrance — there’s even a car lift with a 3,000 kg capacity which whisks guests straight up to the ballroom.
Floating between the sky and the river, the tall, slim building overlooks Bangkok’s bustling Chao Phraya River, affording guests some of the best views of Bangkok. Kicking it up another notch, there’s also a spectacular rooftop bar on the 26th floor for more casual soirees and even more spectacular views over the City of Angels.
Avani currently operates 24 hotels and resorts in 15 countries. The brand recently debuted in Australia, New Zealand, and Laos. Avani currently has 15 new hotels in the pipeline, including recent signings in Dubai, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, a second Avani in Busan, South Korea.
