Howzat! AVANI’s latest opening makes a hat-trick in Oceania

After the completion of AVANI Metropolis Auckland Residences in New Zealand late 2017, AVANI Hotels & Resorts have returned to Oceania to open their second site in Australia, and third in Oceania.
Due to be fully completed in August this year, the new 456-room AVANI Central Melbourne Residences strengthens AVANI’s footprint in Australia, and follows the December 2017 opening of Broadbeach Gold Coast Residences.

Discussing the new development, Alejandro Bernabé, vice president of operations for AVANI Hotels & Resorts, said “We are quite pleased with our growth in the region and debuting the first AVANI in Melbourne, and having opened AVANI Broadbeach Gold Coast Residences in Australia, as well as AVANI Metropolis Auckland Residences in New Zealand complements our mission to grow the brand’s footprint globally.”
The 55-storey AVANI Central Melbourne Residences, in the northern part of Melbourne’s CBD, will be situated close to the Melbourne Central railway station and a short distance away from the Queen Victoria markets, making it as useful for corporate travellers as it is appealing for tourists.
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s distinct, contemporary design, the Melbourne location will be packed with facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, two outdoor spas and three outdoor entertaining areas. There will also be game rooms. a library and study area, two movie screening rooms and a communal kitchen and lounge area, plus a gym, sauna and steam room and a dedicated yoga room.
AVANI Central Melbourne Residences will join AVANI Hotels & Resorts‘ growing global portfolio, with over 23 properties operating around the world. The brand has recently opened AVANI+ Luang Prabang in Laos on 1 March 2018 and has a strong pipeline of new properties under development including in new destinations such as South Korea, the Maldives, Mauritius, Tunisia and Oman.
