Aurora Expeditions has launched its 2024-2025 Antarctic program packed with 25 voyages from 9 to 23 days duration, visiting the Antarctic Peninsula, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and, new this season, the Chilean Fjords.
Also new is In Shackleton’s Footsteps, a 20-day epic adventure that retraces the historic voyage of the Endurance, venturing into the Weddell Sea to Elephant Island, the desolate outpost where Shackleton and his men finally made landfall after 497 days at sea. The voyage continues across the Scotia Sea to South Georgia, where Shackleton’s voyage reached its climactic conclusion. It departs from Ushuaia, Argentina on March 16, 2025.
A first for Aurora Expeditions is visiting the Chilean Fjords, a stunning maze of waterways filled with bird and sea life surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. The Fjords are featured in two itineraries: a 14-day fly/sail Antarctic Explorer voyage departing March 01 and a 13-day Spirit of Antarctic expedition departing March 13, 2025.
Whether a novice or skilled, photography enthusiasts will love our immersive 13-day Spirit of Antarctica dedicated photographic voyage departing November 12, 2024. Travellers will learn the secrets, tips and tricks through informative lectures and while off-ship exploring from our professional photographers on board.
“We just completed a hugely successful 22/23 Antarctic season and our 23/24 Antarctic season is already selling well with several departures almost at capacity,” said Steve McLaughlin, APAC Sales Director of Aurora Expeditions. “Our 24/25 Antarctic season is looking like our most adventurous yet.”
“I am beyond thrilled to release our most comprehensive Antarctica program for 24/25. The season is packed full of adventure and exploration with a variety of ways for travellers to truly explore Antarctica,” said Hayley Peacock-Gower, Chief Marketing Officer of Aurora Expeditions.
“We have pioneered purpose-driven exploration for more than 32 years and this season combines a unique mix of itineraries – returning favourites, new itineraries and a collection of special themed expeditions. We aim to open travellers up to exploration and push the boundaries of adventure while deepening connections to the natural world through our off-ship multiple daily excursions, our extensive range of activities and participative Citizen Science projects, all under the guidance of our highly acclaimed and experienced Expedition Team,” continued Peacock-Gower.
