Asia DMC, the destination management company previously known as HG Travel, is preparing to launch a new brand of luxury tours.
Set to be officially unveiled at next month’s ITB travel trade show in Berlin, ‘Spirit of Travel’ will feature a selection of high-end tailor-made tours focusing on “unique experiences”. These will add to Asia DMC’s existing range of special interest group tours and set group departures.
In addition, the company has unveiled plans for new offices in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, to add to its existing presence in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. New offices in China, India and the Philippines are also in the pipeline, as the company embarks on a comprehensive regional expansion strategy.
“We are delighted to bring our full range of offerings to ITB this year, to which we are adding a specialised series of tailor-made travel experiences to high-end customers short on time,” said Asia DMC’s group managing director, Linh Le. “Unique experiences is the new luxury and we are excited to be delivering this in 2017.
“Since our rebranding in November last year from HG Travel to Asia DMC we have launched new operations in Myanmar and Thailand, and are now looking to further extend our footprint across Asia offering our innate knowledge of the region,” he added.
Sustainability will also be a key element of the company’s future operations, with its not-for-profit arm, HG Foundation, conducting a series of local community and environmental initiatives. These have already included a successful campaign to ban the use of Styrofoam in Halong Bay.
Andre Van der Marck, managing director of Asia DMC Thailand, will be attending ITB along with colleagues from the Asia DMC head office.
